England had suffered another humiliating defeat to non test side the Netherlands yesterday as they know now that they have to sort out there major problems. England were chasing 134 a very modest target. Micheal Lumb was hitting out the Dutch for hitting the chip shot and Eoin Morgan. At 26 for 3 England were not right. Ravi Bopara with 18 provided hope for the Dutch.
 

In the quarter final between New Zealand and Sri Lanka. New Zealand slumped to a 59 run defeat and are now out of the world cup. Bangarana Hertha came up with a perfect left arm spin bowling taking 5 for 3 to put Sri Lanka into the semi finals. Hearath bowled out Martin Guptill in the fourth over giving Sri Lanka the confidence that they needed for this victory. New Zealand were bowled out for a very low number of 60. Kumar Sangakkarra hit a trademark flayed cover drive. With a 35 for 5 new Zealand had 35 for 5. Lahiru Thirmanne tried to rebuild but found it easy to capalise on a bad ball.
