THE MENTALIST 9PM CHANNEL 5 88 per cent

 

This is a show where Patrick Jane an author of books works with Kate Becket a crime detective to solve crimes that have happened. He is also looking for one bad guy called Red John who destroyed his family. We also look into Patrick’s life as we see both his mother and daughter as he is a single father. In the last episode his daughter wanted to go to a Taylor Swift concert so he had problems in getting tickets so her mother agrees to say that the present was from both of them.  Red John kills Becket as they set out to do their crime

ELEMENTRY 9PM LIVING 82 per cent

The main characters in this show are Sherlock Holmes an autistic character who wants to do as much good as he can to eliminate the bad he did in a previous time in his life. He works with Jane Watson who gets paid by Sherlock’s father and gets a steady income.  In the most recent episode Watson is being blackmailed by a kid who she has done wrong from her father and she has to find a way to get him off her back Sherlock allows for her to pay more than she asks but only for use as a scholarship for school.

ANT FARM 5.35 DISNEY 78 per cent

 

 

The ants are a bunch of people who have got amazing talents. The ants were mutants this week and a group of aliens from a parallel universe came over enforcing the ants to go to their world and become slaves and if it wasn’t for Chinas alter ego they would still be in that world as they managed to find out that there master was an alien also and they used that to blackmail her and they were not slaves anymore

DEAL OR NO DEAL FREEKY FAYRE CHANNEL 4 DAILY 60 per cent

 

The aim of this programme is to get as much money off the banker as you can. There are 22 sealed boxes with 22 people behind them and one comes up and plays the game. They open boxes and the banker makes offers and after a certain number the banker makes an offer. The Freaky fayre makes it a little different as there are games that need to be played this time they have to throw a small hoop over a high stick. The other people opening the boxes are all dressed up for Halloween also.

BTSI BT SPORT 7PM 65 per cent

 

This tells me what is going on today in the world of sport. It also gives me information about last night and the results that Bt sport has covered. Helen Skelton is one of the main hosts but they do bring in experts in their sports to talk and make the fans understand what exactly is going on.

WIZARDS VS ALIENS mon and tue 5pm 88 per cent

 

Tom Clarke and his family have to save the world from Aliens as they use magic to feed and earth is the final planet with magic. In the last episode they got a young girl to say to the world that she is magic knowing that this would get people with magic into a tv studio and it is then Toms goal to save himself and the others but wants to save his family first. He does this but it does takes help from his scientific friend Benny.

HELLO LADIES WED 10PM SKY ATLANTIC 30 per cent

 

This is a show showing Steven Merchant as he tries to live his life in USA and we see him and a similar girl wanting to better herself by being more like Steven but she is not in any way and she stops being friendly with her friends and Steven has a limo and he takes his friends out in it to to what they want

MADE IN CHELSEA 10PM 80 per cent

 

This is one of the oddest things we watch in some ways as it is showing how the rich people that we will never be live. Why is Spencer still an idiot trying to womanise girls. Jamie just wants to have a bit of a party and the girls try to support each other in whatever way that they can and you would want to know do they know what the real world is like.

REPUBLIC OF TELLY 9.30RTE2 50 per cent

 

This is a show that reminds me of Harry Hills Tv Burp as it takes pieces of Tv shows and makes fun of them with little jokes that are from that small moment in that TV show .These shows work for me in a big way  

THE FEAR 10PM RTE2 40 per cent

 

This is a show showing practical jokes that are done by RTE and we see how the people of Dublin react to them I feel that the show is done very well as sometimes you do not know how a joke can go

FAMILY TREE 10.30RTE2 20 per cent

 

This is a drama where Tom has got an interest in researching his family and we see how pieces of information about this affect his life. It is an ok show as it does not stick in my head in a way that others do

RUGBY LEAGUE WORLD CUP SAT 2.30 BBC 1 78 per cent

 

The Rugby League World cup is played every 4 years. This year it is being played in England and Wales and Ireland play Australia in Thomand Park next week. The concepts of rugby league are there are 6 tackles and on the 6^th you must kick. England thinks that they can win it this year so that is something to watch out for

Barry here giving my opinion on the new shows that have come on Tv recently. I am trying to mark them out of 100  so you can see what I think of each show.

ARROW MON 8PM SKY 1 70 per cent

 

This is a show where a man called Oliver is determined to save his family with the help of his employee and a computer geek that he has met at an earlier stage in life. With his mother in prison his sister is determined to punish her in whatever way that she can. He also finds it difficult to be dumped by his girlfriend which he finds out after he comes back. One of the main things that he has to face is himself as he is sees his past come back with a team of 4 men coming out to destroy his family and this upsets him.

THE GADGET SHOW CHANNEL 5 8PM 90 per cent

 

This is a show showing what life could be like in the near future as the team of Jason Bradbury and Rachel Riely of countdown in the studio. John Bently sometimes tests gadgets also with Polena Wodward out testing gadgets which she rates out of 100

THE WRONG MANS FRI 9.30 CHANNEL 4 40 per cent

 

This is a sitcom about an idiot who finds it difficult to do the simplest things right. His girlfriend has just dumped him as he can not get a job and he lives in a house on the land his parents own. His father acts like a bear which in all seriousness is a little too far for an adult but he does ask a friend for help

SAM AND CAT SAT 6PM NICK 77 per cent

 

This show consists of Janette Mc Curdy I carly and Arriende Grande Victorious as in the first episode Cat goes into a trash can and Sam has to try to meet her and they become friends and then they decide to make money by babysitting

REVOLUTION SUN 10PM SKY 1 89 per cent

 

This is a show asking the question what would life be like if we did not have electricity or any form of technology and the world that they live in is quite harsh world and they find it very hard to even get the most basic things  like food or clean water right.

THE TUNNEL WED 9PM SKY ATLANTIC 10 per cent

 

This is a show showing what happens when two countries try to work together to solve to separate murders in the channel tunnel. One group from England have to solve the murder of a welsh prostitute and the French have to solve the murder of a famous French person. This looks at how they communicate with each other and one girl only speaks 2 languages

VEEP WED 10.35 SKY ATLANTIC 52 per cent

 

This is a sitcom looking at a vice president and what it is that they want to do. We look at their aids and their enemies and see what can be done or not done. All of the charactors in this are very strong with the vice president and her enemy being the strongest as he feels that he is the only one that can talk to the president

Hi Barry here again just writing about these few shows today.

 

TURBO BOOST 4.30 WEEKDAYS CBBC 66 per cent

 

 

Turbo is a dancer and in this show where see that he is trying to help someone achieve their dream. Whether it is them being a boxer who has wanted to be a boxer from a very young age or a dress designer. He gets the celebrities in who can help them and he sees them learn a lot more than they would have done previously. They have a mini challenge and then the main challenge at the end of the show.

 

 

RONNIE CORBITS ANIMAL CRACKERS 7.30 FRI BBC1 45 per cent

 

 

This is a funny clip show about animals and the strange things that they do with Ronnie Corrbit  giving a commentary over it. We also get a small look into his life as we see him and his wife try to train a dog to like him 

 

 

JESSIE 5.20 FRI DISNEY  85 per cent

 

 

Debbie Ryan(the suite life on deck) is a babysitter of a rich family of 2 boys and 2 girls There  is a  butler Bertram who wants to do as little as possible  In this show as we see how she is able to cope with it or not. In the last episode Emma’s date was so into football that Luke had to train her and in the end he became more interested in Luke so Luke knew that had had to do the hard thing and get rid of him as a friend

SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS 5 TUE AND FRI NICK  58 per cent

 

SpongeBob is a happy sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea next to a squid called Squid ward . He is a very discontented  person who is upset with everyone and his friend Patrick a not so smart starfish lives not to far away. He works at the crabby patty for Mr Crabs a crab  a business man who wants every penny to himself . In the last episode squid ward finds SpongeBob’s diary and gets arrested for it and Sponge Bob makes a tell all book from it.

 

THE SLAMMER 5.30 FRI CBBC 75 per cent

 

 

This is a comedy talent show where the point is to be released from the slammer as soon as you can. To do this you have to get into the freedom show and win the applause of the audience by clapping at the end. At the start there are jokes between the Guvner the new worker and the new employee that the guvner does not like.  There is a final joke at the end but beyond that it always changes.

KARL PILINGTON THE MOANING OF LIFE SUN 9PM SKY 1 50 per cent

 

In this show I see Karl looking at life in a different and more realistic way. In the first episode he looks at marriage and asks the question is there any real need for it and whether there is a point to do this he looks at arranged marriages and thinks that it is the right way to go. He looks at how much money they spend and thinks that it is a bit too much.

This is a drama about a model that died and is trapped in a layers body. This is a comedy drama showing her and her life and the fact that she can only tell this to her model friend and guardian angel we see how it is that she deals with her life and how that affects her

This is a Tv show based around the quotations that people have said hosted by David Michell and you have 2 regular comedians on the panel and 2 guests the person who mentions the quotes is also a guest who reads it and sometimes tries to be funny. In the first round there is a choice of three celebrities to pick from. They also have to select some words from two or three words and get points for that also 

Match of the day Extra 12.15 pm bbc1

This is a new show on BBC 1 talking about football and the issues that have happened on Saturday and also looking at Sundays matches that are on this week. We look at the main issuers of the week and the team news for that Sundays matches.

Gravity falls mon – wed 4.30 disney xd

This is a children’s sitcom living in a strange curiosity shop. We see the grown up who is a complete idiot and 2 children the girl who fell in love with everyone she sees and the boy who has sense but is in love with one particular girl.

This is a sitcom about a girl who lives in a perfect family with a mom who knows how to to control the situation and an idiot dad who makes regular mistakes. You have got an idiot big brother and a little brother who always wants to take control of every situation. You have got a little child who says cute things. You have also got one girl played by Bridget Medlar who has got a lot of common sense and balances out the normality of the house

Csi Vegas Meets New York not seen tue 8pm 5

This was a tv show about a man who wanted to save his wife so he came to new york where his friend the ex cheers actor  was the only one that could help him in the end they found her. He feels that he has to try to save her on his own

The X factor live show sat 8pm

 

The x factor is starting again from the start and everybody is drawing out who they think will win. In my opinion a problem is the fact that they reveal the first person in the bottom two on Saturday night but I could see this as a good and a bad thing as the next one is revealed on the Sunday night , where they compete in the final sing off and I like it very much as an idea .

Violetta 5.50 disney

This is a drama based in a music school where Violetta wants to go to. We see her school, love and home life and are able to see things from her perspective at the moment her potential boyfriend is going to Spain and this is very hard on her. Ludmella has the sole purpose of destroying Violetta. Angie her tutor keeps asking for time of from the principal of the school

This is a good teen drama as we see how stressful life can be for a teenager’s parent if things are not understood. We see certain characters stand up as the youngsters try to live their lives in as normal a way as possible but we do see the stress and the failure. This is a very funny idea abut I am getting used to it at the moment and I like it

This is a general show for kids where three hosts Ivan Minnock, Seán Regan and Moldovan-born Diana Bunicishow a different thing every day. Tuesday being sports quiz Wednesday being gardening and all of that it last 20 minutes long which is very handy and they use the children within the show whenever they can

Rocket Monkeys 4.30 daily nick

 

This is a show about 2 spectacular idiots that show how incompact they can be as they make failure after failure but the things that they have to do are so simple that getting them wrong is sometimes an achievement in itself as all they have to do is relax but they cant even do that right. This is a very funny cartoon

In your shoes 11.10 am rte2 sun

 

This is something that as a disabled person I think should happen more often. It puts four able bodied people and 4 disabled people living in a house. We see how they learn in a different way with different coaches. They are put in teams of 2 and they have to learn from each others weaknesses and strengths.

International Rules sun 6.15 tg4

 

This is a sporting game which is supposed to be a compromise between the amateur sport of Gaelic Football and the Professional sport of Austrilian Rules football . These gamers are normally very good games and you can not be sure who is going to win them it is always worth watching for about 5 or 10 minutes as if you are into sport in any way this will get you hooked

Pointless 5.15 daily

 

If you look at this show from a distance it does not make that much sense but once you understand the rules it gives a dynamic to the show that has never been seen in my opinion on TV. First they ask the question to 100 people and give them 100 second to answer the question. I wonder how they get these questions. In the first and second rounds there is no discussion between the teams of 2 people but during the second round they are given a list which they have to find a bunch of answers from. In the third there is a best of 3 questions and in the final you are looking for 1 pointless answer from a selection of question. They start with 4 teams in the first round and then 3 and 2

Homeland  9pm c4

 

This is a political Tv show where we can look at some of the things that happen in politics. We see what happens in that American reality. At the moment a female officer who thought that she would find the problems that were in the offices is drugged off her head by a person that she would have called a friend in an earlier part of the series. We see her family go to her old friend’s side as she tells them that she has tried to help her but they believe him. This is what in my opinion what the word drama truly means

Glee fri 8pm sky 1

In the first two episodes of this show they were singing about were the Beatles.   They did their first great song and Rachel managed to get a big acting job after working in a shop for a while and she did not expect to get the job. At school Sue Selvester is up to her old tricks as she is trying to assist a girl in destroying the school for her own bad purposes. Kurt has just got married but I do love the concept behind Glee.

This is showing a secret organisation that no one is supposed to know about. It tells the story about what happens in this organisation. We see what skills these people have and how that affects certain missions and at this stage we see how they can work together and how some people like and do not like each other. We also see how some of them just do not care about their boss and disrespect him. It is very early in this show but I think it has got great potential.

MNS mon 7pm rte2

With the Arrtrisity league coming to an end and St Pats athletic being the champions we do now pay attention to the relegation dog fight as we want to know if Shelbourne will get out of the whole that they are in. There are two games to go in the league season you do know that there are more twists and turns in the league at the end of this or any season

Hero squad wed 5.30

This is a show where children at about the age of 12 years old get the chance to learn what it is to be a hero. They get 6 days to pick up this skill and then they have to solve the problem as they set up an accident and the team have to name a captain and at the end the team leaders have to name a team member which they find very difficult to do as it takes them a long time to do it.

Peter Andre My Life 4pm sat itv2

 

This is a Tv show that looks down the lens at what it can be like both at the good and bad sides of being a celebrity in this day and age.  We see some of the harsh things that Peter had to go through like loosing both his parents and we see the joy that he has with his new girlfriend Emily. We can also see the different lifestyles he has in the Uk and Cyprus and what that does to him. If you want to look at a real reality show this year this would be the one to look at

The X factor USA  1.05 itv2

In the last round in the Us Version of the X factor they decided to do this a little bit strange as they put them to the case with one judge looking for 4 spots and this makes the show itself at this stage go very different.   It makes it so that the hard decisions are made in front of the other judges which I think does not work. I think that they should work as part of a team or alone

This is a medical drama showing what exactly goes wrong when errors are made. It is hosted by 2 twin brothers who’s goals are sometimes to experiment with things in order to show what can go wrong if you do not do the simple things every day

This is a drama built around a school and what happens in it. It shows that sometimes the students can be smarter than the teachers in most ways and we can see what way the storylines will go and how a teacher can know what to do and sometimes how they are afraid

Harrow a very British school wed 8pmsky 1

This is a Tv show that puts cameras up and shows you what goes on in harrow school over a year from the odd sports that they play to some of the other things that they do which seem to be very odd to me.

Celebrity Juice thu 10pm itv1

This is a very funny show for a very adult audience. Keith Lemon hosts but sometimes does take things that little bit too far with his comedy as in my opinion it does go too far but the games that are there are very funny games to play

Hero squad wed 5.30pm

This is a Tv show showing children what happens on rescue missions as part of a hero squad tem. They are set up as part of a team with a team leader who tells the others what is needed to be done and at the end there is a hero of the day
