Can anyone let me know what their special memories are of the last 25 years in Ireland ????????

These are my ten memorable sporting events and ten famous events which happened in Ireland which have stayed in my memory in the last twenty five years:

SPORTING EVENTS:

1.       That penalty against Romania in Italian 90 (soccer)

2.       Dennis Taylor beating Steve Davis in 1985 world snooker final  

3.       The success of the GAA

4.       Tyrone winning first All Ireland in 2003

5.       Brian O'Driscoll being able to win the 6 Nations in his final season in Irish rugby

6.       Three golf major winners based in Northern Ireland

7.       Ken Doherty winning the world snookers championship 1998

8.       Ireland beat England at the Cricket World Cup 2011

9.       Brendan Dolan made the 9 darter starting on the double 2011 

10.   When the Republic went to penalties against Spain without Roy Keene in 2002

Disapointment in Ireland

Very disappointed by Republic and Nothern Ireland If Republic beat Poland all  are level and that will be an interesting group to look at. The big teams are not showing their strength in either group which is a srprise

QUEEN SONGS

HERE ARE QUEEN MY FAVOURITE ARTIST OF ALL TIMES SONGS AND VIDEOS IN THE ORDER I LIKE THEM

1 Bohemian Rapsity the greatest song ever written. But only one effect that they seem to use again and again of a screen pulling the singers out

2 Crazy little thing called love brilliant song brilliant video using leather jackets and on a motorcycle a top image and the song you will never get out of you head

 3 I want to break free some of the great images in a video of all time with Freedie dressing like a woman and snakes moving over him

4 It’s a kind of magic a brilliant type of video for this one showing how we will use magic for television in the future

5 Killer Queen I think that the video from this song gives you a lot of useful information about queen and is simplistic in the way it is made maybe this is where Take that got the idea from their video from I really like it

6 One vision Brilliantly simplistic showing them waiting and working in the studio at that time something you would hardly ever see

7 Radio gaga One of the best visual effects before the start of the song with so much happening so you begin to expect but when nothing happens and they are on a car you are disappointed but a song that will never be forgotten

8 The show must go on from the video this feels like there last ever song which I find to be very sad but the way that things are joined together I think works well this I think is a good song

9 Flash theme Quality song and background video that is seen in the background there are some quality background effects

10 You’re my best friend This is a song that I feel will live forever but there was no video story to it whatsoever which I feel made it quite sad and I wonder why it had not been released as a single 

11 Another one bites the dust Quality song but no video

12 Fat Bottomed girls an ok video of queen in concert with a song  as an ok video

13 Don’t stop me now one of the great songs but an ok video as they are in concert

14 We are the champions One of the great songs of all time but the fact that they did not make a video for it I find increasable considering how simple it could be

15 Somebody to love All in a studio so not the best video but a great song

16 Under Pressure This to be is a very sad image on top of a very happy song and I am not sure whether that is the right way to do things

1 Bicycle there are too many mentions of the word bicycle about the more confusing thing was in the 70s and 80s how were they able to get away with so many naked women riding a bike. How were there not loads of people in protest and the second question is why naked women riding on. Little confused also to the point of the song

It’s my birthday today so I decided to pick an artist that has defined my life here is one of my favourite legends Michael Jackson. Here are my top 14 singles from him

2 Billie Jean one of the best videos ever with a great song

3 Black or white one of the greatest images in a second ever when the kid rocks the father to Michaels music place in Africa

5 the way you make me feel a good song with a quality idea for a video in a derelict street  

6 Earth Song Great video and quality song

7 Man in the mirror One of the images that should haunt us as a species

8  Bad Brilliant song

9 Dirty Dianna quality song but critics is he goes a little over the top

10  Leave me alone  Not the best of songs but a very strange video

11 Remember the time One of the great opening sequences but an Ok song

12 Scream Bad video but great song most expensive video ever why  

13 Rockin Robbin ok song with simple video

14 love never felt so good fine  dance video

Beyonce songs favourites and how I think they should be looked at

These in my opinion are the songs that Beyonce is most recognised for I am planning to do a short analysis of the songs I recognise her for

1 Crazy in Love = one of the simplest ideas videos of all time and one of the great songs

2 Beautiful Liar = brilliant song and top video a little sexy and working with another artist helps brilliant movements of back ground which makes you know it’s a green screen

3 Irreplaceable= top message and top video as she is making him leave HER house which is so important as the house they live in is hers and not his which shows she has power and not him 

4 Halo = a great song and a very good family video

5 If I were a boy= this is a great song and asks a great question the video is cute

6 Listen = a brilliant song and an ok video

7 Single Ladies = quality video not completely sure about the message of the song

8  Run the world = great song but quite confusing video there is no sense of female empowerment in the video and how important that will be in the future 

9 Drunk in  love= confused by the video  which does not help the song for me at all as I do not understand its meaning but I do like the music behind it

10  Wishing on a star = brilliant song one of the best but I could not find the video 

11 Naughty Girl = sexy but maybe a bit too sexy with what the song is supposed to represent not the right image to give to small children

12 Work it out = quality song but not too sure about the video as you should bring exercise into it a lot more

13 Sweet Dreams = not exactly sure what the video is trying to say and a lot more could be done with the video rather than just dancing

Britney Spears top 10

Here is my top 10 list of Britney Spears songs. Because I think that in this day and age she has had the best video and the best song ever. These are top 8 I feel she will be remembered for and the other 2 not so much

3 Stronger= positive message

4  Oops I did it again = best before song starts video

5  I’m A slave for you = sticks in your head

6  Womaniser= Great song but video does not make sense

7  Piece of me = great song -shows what the press have become to the famous

8 Toxic = great song not sure about the video

10 If you see Amy

I would say to put Hit me baby 1 more time in and stronger into your music collection but she has had some of the songs that few people will forget

I would like to give a shout out to Northern Ireland who have played 3 won 3 England for a similar reason and the Republic of Ireland for that John O Shea equaliser at the Dying seconds. It is good to see all of our teams doing well

I WENT TO SEE ANT AND DECS SATURDAY NIGHT TAKEAWAY THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE  

 

Below are pictures of a challenge that Ant and Dec did which started with them having to climb 120ft ladder to release  three balls

 

The picture  is of one of the three balls that the audience had to bring to the top floor where Ant and Dec were on stage. I thought this idea was a lot of fun but they should have tried to use the entire audience *****

 

This was Ant vs Dec challenge where they had to go to school. Ant was being the good boy and gave Kimberly Wyatt an apple while Dec did not really want to care and was being the bad boy. I liked this very much and thought that it was a laugh ***** 



 

Kimberly Wyatt from the Pussycat Dolls  sang her new single as she now wants to be a solo act. I was not that pushed as she went up on this moving platform which did not allow her to move*****

Ant and Dec sang lets get ready to rumble in the finally. Ant and Dec and the dancers were all wearing 1990s clothes as they were doing the dance. I lied this very much as it reminded me of a silly era*****

Kian Eagan from Westlife wore an earpiece and talked to a member of the Ant and Dec staff it did seem like she was aware as she did not react naturally to being  pranked. This could have worked out a lot better *****

In the win the Ads Lauren was the winner of the chance to win. We got the chance to see her win 6 of the prises gamble and win all of the prises. It was on this weeks news

Blue sang All Rise which I thought was cool *****

Little Ant and Dec talked to little mix they said Belfast was the bet audience *****

In the interval there was background music I thought it was OK *****

A man that I had never seen decided to warm up the audience. There were 3 girls and 1 man. The warm up guy decided to focus on this man who was not very good but the audience backed him as they thought that he was very funny. He danced at the end of the show and that was his prize. I am not sure whether this was right or wrong as a spectacle*****

 

 

Ant and Dec danced with the cast of river dance here is a picture of I. I thought that this was very funny as an idea***** 

 

 

 

titanic information part 2

Lucy duff Gordan a well known dress designer and Sir Cosmo a Scotsman who’s ancestor was James Duff in British council. They got on a lifeboat and took there servants with them  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After watching the ship dive beneath the water, amidst the screams of the 1,500 people calling for help that they were ignoring, the tactless Lucy commented to her secretary, "There is your beautiful nightdress gone." Two sailors commented "It's all right for you, you can get more clothes, but we have lost everything." Cosmo then gave the men a "fiver" each ($360.00 today) to help them out, a gesture that would cost him a lot more later when he was accused of bribing the crew to let him escape the liner and then row away without helping any of the victims in the water.

Edith married the late Frederick Haisman in South Africa. They had 10 children and more than 30 grandchildren.

 

There was a section about the different movies of the titanic and there was one movie in Germany that came to my mind where the British were the failures and it was a German who had to come to mind to save the people they also looked at different movies from different countries some of which I found to be interesting others I did not. Like a movie they did in Britain in the 1960s

 

There are some amazing things that you can find blow where the titanic sank and scientist are still looking now. Some of the think that were shown I showed in my previous blogs but things like jewellery camber pots and other things that would have been used during the time of the titanic. To this day there are still people who want to look and learn as much as they can from the titanic

I did enjoy the titanic quarters a lot but I do think that there was a lot of reading to it and that to me was very boring. I found some of the information to be fascinating like how women worked and what they actually had to do but I do think that they should have made the tour more interactive as there was a lot of reading in it and you had to pick up the information and I did find that to be quite slow. Probably my lasting memory was sitting in that lift moving from one part of the exhibit to the other.  There were a few videos but they were not as interesting as they should be

The linen industry was one of the things that turned Belfast from a small town. It grew from a small town in the 1860s to a major city in the 19^th century. To make linen Flax was harvested and scotched (a process that makes flax more fibrous) then women made it into yarn by churning which was woven into linen cloth and sold in the nearest place

 

Belfast has been known as a shipyard city in fact the earliest written record was in 1636 when a 150 ton ship was made by the clergyman of the city. In July 1791 William Richie set up the first shipbuilding industry employing 10 men. The most famous ship builders were Harland and Wolf when Edward Harland a young engineer from Yorkshire purchased a company and in 1861 he took Gustov Wilelf Wolff from Hamberg Germany as a partner. During the war they built 139 navel ships

The titanic ship was known as ship no 401 and would not have been known as the titanic if another ship was built on time. She carried 2224 people. The ship was under control of Edward Smith. After leaving Southampton on 10^th April 1912 the Titanic went to Chebourg in France and Queenstown  (now cobh)  

 

 

Belfast girls are known as Millies even to this day because the women in the war used to work in the mines

Thomas Andrews is credited with making the Titanic but the working conditions seemed to be impossible as you would have had long hard days. Young boys going into work as young as 10 and that was considered acceptable. They worked usually in pairs with the man having to do some of the tough physical labour while the boy had to do difficult jobs also. It would have been a very long hard day but they would be happy to have the work.

 

The way that someone was able to live depended on how much money they had. A first class bed would have a lot of space a personal place to put your chamber pot room to put in your clothes and you could be there yourself. A third class bedroom would have no room whatsoever 2 bedrooms you would have to go to an area to go to the toilet so everyone went together there were 2 completely different ways of life
