Man United beat Olympakos 3-0 yesterday and to me this was a bit of a miracle if you look at Man United’s results over the season. Now they are going into the quarter finals and this match was a big one as it showed what they could do. Holebes jumps into Robin Van Persies back from a beautiful ball from Giggs. The perfect hard penalty from RVP hard and for the side netting. 27 minutes gone 1-0 Man United. Man United equalise inn the tie to make the score 2-0 Giggs gives a quality ball to Rooney on the left gets a good breaking ball off Marcanos shin shin but finds RVPs in the box with a neat ball simple touch by the Dutchman beats Roberto with power. Just before half time 45+1 Man utd lead 2-0. 52 minutes gone and Roberto was completely outfoxed by a free kick from RVP guided a ball swerving the ball over the wall but it was close to the middle of the goal the goalkeeper didn’t move man utd 3-0 and all of Old Trafford is happy. Final score Man utd 3-0 Olympiakos

In the Cricket world cup yesterday Ireland beat The UAE on the Dunsten Lewis method as Ireland were able to only get 14.2 over’s before the lights went out and the rain came this means that if Ireland beat the Netherlands on Friday they will top the pool and even if they don’t they do have a superior run rate after Zimbabwe beat the Netherlands earlier that day.

The UAE did not look to get started in the match as they had a very low score of 123 and Ireland looked like they were going to trounce that as they had 95 not out. Paul Sterling got an early wicket but had to leave early and is 50/50 for the Netherlands match on Friday. Kevin O Brian again put in a quality performance

The Netherlands had a very poor first 4 over’s after slumping to 35 for 4 after the first 5 overs. Tom cooper put things back on track for the Dutch as they got back into the game.  Zimbabwe then seemed to have left it too late needing 46 of the last 5 over’s. Williams showed some common sense when he edged Malik fine leg to level the scores where everything rested on Sibandas shoulders but you would not have guessed as he hit a 6 to win.

In the first match of the day today Nepal beat Afghanistan by 9 runs today I will get more detail tomarrow
